Pitch Detection and Instrument Pitch Bending

MidiControls

Pitch detection is on by default but can be turned off if you wish. When off, the EQ tab in use is the one selected by note from the buttons on the left, from E2 to A5.

Instrument pitch bending can be used to bend midi sounds or bend the harmonics from a live instrument through the equalizer. For example, if you play A2 on guitar and then bend it upwards to A#2 (pitch bending off), the application will detect A#2 and switch to the A#2 harmonic band levels. With pitch bending turned on, the EQ will stay on A2 and bend the harmonics selected for this note band. Keep in mind, the harmonic EQ bands have a finite width so bending a note so that a harmonic pitch exceeds the frequency band for that harmonic will cause it to die off and become silent.
